The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), under the direction of the Office of Research Administration (ORA), provides assistance to faculty and staff in obtaining and managing sponsored awards that support scholarly activities. OSP is charged with reviewing and approving proposals submitted to all sponsors, for interpreting, negotiating, and accepting grants and contracts for sponsored projects funded by federal and state agencies, foundations and other public and private sources, and providing guidance to assure proper stewardship of funds that are received. In addition, OSP prepares and negotiates subawards for collaborative research and works closely with faculty and business office staff to ensure financial compliance and proper accounting of externally sponsored funds. OSP’s financial management responsibilities include cash management, financial reporting, award closeout, and effort reporting.

Online Training Opportunities Available!
Are you new to sponsored projects administration? Do you need to take a refresher course? The Office of Sponsored Projects expanded access to training opportunities for Yale administrators. We are pleased to announce the availability of the following online training modules, effective November 16, 2015:

It should be noted that these four classes will continue to be offered as an instructor-led format on a semi-annual basis. The semi-annual course is for individuals who prefer this method of learning and for those who took the online course to discuss questions related to the materials.
